Grins works to keep Americans from “Pouring on the Pounds”

We at Grins recently had the opportunity to see some of the public service announcements that are running in New York City as part of that city’s efforts to educate people about the dangers of overconsumption of sugary beverages.

The NYC Health Department’s “Pouring on the Pounds” campaign makes a compelling case against drinking too many calories through overly sweet beverages.

At Grins, we see ourselves as being on the same team. Our goal is to make beverages that taste great, but that offer people a healthier alternative to the overly sweetened beverages they have grown accustomed to.

We have just recently created a calorie-free version of Grins that we will be bringing to market soon. And we talk constantly with our contacts in the education, military, sports and other fields to learn about what else we can do to offer appealing products that meet their nutritional needs.

Our troops deserve Grins.

We told you these Grins were on a mission!

We told you these Grins were on a mission!

We just packed up 4,752 cases of the Grins we produced last week at LiDestri Foods and sent them off to Kuwait, where the U.S. Army will use them to spread great-tasting refreshment and cheer at its facilities there.

“We couldn’t be prouder to be sending this product to those who serve our country,” said Grins Director of Operations Nathan Battle. “We are happy that the Army found Grins to be as great a source of hydration and refreshment as all of our other customers have.”

Grins runs 6,300 cases at LiDestri Foods in New Jersey

Grins completed a 6,300-case product run last week at LiDestri Foods in Pensauken, N.J.

This was Grins first run at LiDestri, and their hard-working team really put their all into this run. We couldn’t be happier about the results, and we know you will be, too.

Here are a few pictures from our time at LiDestri.

A lot of these Grins are on a very special mission, to a group of people who definitely deserve to be grinning. We can’t wait to tell you about where they are headed very soon.

Stay tuned!

Help us bring Grins to more faces!

Grins is in the running for a $250,000 grant from Chase and LivingSocial’s Mission:Small Business program.

We’re asking all our fans to go to missionsmallbusiness.com, log in with Facebook and cast a vote for Grins Enterprises, based in North Carolina. You can vote now through the end of this month, and we’d love it if you could share your votes with your Facebook friends.

This grant would allow us to bring more people on at Grins Headquarters, which would mean we could spread Grins in more schools and stores around the country. The response to our product has been so overwhelmingly positive so far that we know that increasing the Grins workforce would really allow us to take off!

We need all the votes we can get, so tell your friends and family how much you like Grins and what we’re all about. Thanks for your support, we are putting Grins on new faces every day!

Let the Grinning begin: From production line to corner store in under 24 hours

There are 5,968 people in the town of Marion, Va., according to the U.S. Census Bureau. On Nov. 2, there were 69,216 Grins there.

Grins had a successful first production run last week in Marion. Almost 70,000 bottles of Grins Grape, Strawberry Kiwi and Citrus Punch came rolling off the line. This full-flavored, naturally colored and sweetened, better-for-you beverage is now a step closer to your favorite market, your school or your own refrigerator.

Nathan Battle, Grins Director of Fun (a.k.a. operations)

This product is all about fun, and as the first 16.9-ounce bottles rolled along the conveyor belts, we saw the positive vibes that are just contagious around Grins at work on the production floor. More than once, busy workers approached us out of the blue to tell us how excited they were to learn about this beverage.

No artificial colors there. Grins uses fruit and vegetable juices to distinguish its three flavors.

We’re back home in Winston-Salem, N.C., right now, and within fewer than 24 hours after returning, those fresh bottles of Grins went on sale at the Exxon convenience store on South Stratford Road here, near the Five Points intersection. If you’re in town, pick up a bottle. Then shoot us a line or send us a photo on our Facebook page.

We are working hard right now to get Grins in your favorite neighborhood market. We are excited for you to enjoy our all-natural product, and to help us spread our message of optimism, positivity and cheer.

Stay tuned for more updates as we enter the marketplace, and remember…Life Deserves Grins.
